To comply with Thailand’s labour laws for foreigners, schools/institutes in Thailand are required to certify the employment status of Chinese Language teachers and be a sponsorship to support the issuance of Non-Immigrant B (Teaching) Visa, as well as the work permit and teaching license for teachers in this project. English version

Chinese version

Once teachers arrive in Thailand, and sign an employment contract with school/institute already, please proceed the following documents before the period of authorized stay expired (within 90 days of arrival);

1. Temporary Teaching license (Online application), the process will take around 2 weeks. (skip this document for university level)

Required documents  >> English     >> Thai

2. Work permit, at Labour office in Provicial Employment office, the process will take around 1-2 weeks. (Teacher will need to receive teaching license first, or show a proof that it is still in progress of issuance)

Required documents   >> English     >> Thai

3. Visa extension, at local Immigration Bureau, it normally can be proceeded witin 1 day. (once teacher has received teaching license and work permit)

Required documents  >> English     >> Thai

Note: The above documents are required to be proceeded in order and each document may take longer time. Therefore, our project suggests that the school/institutes in Thailand should proceed these documents immediately for teachers after they have arrived in Thailand and have signed the employment contract. Because the visa that teachers applied outside the Kingdom of Thailand is valid for only 90 days which it is not a long-term visa. Failure to receive Visa extention before the period of authorized stay expired, teachers must leave Thailand immediately.
