Tec 40 CCR
The PADI Tec 40 CCR is the first technical rebreather course in the set of three courses offered by PADI. Often referred to as MOD1 by other training agencies it is designed to take either a recreational open circuit diver or recreational rebreather diver and develop the core skills required as a technical rebreather diver. While recreational rebreather diver training is not required obviously a foundation of knowledge and experience will help the transition from recreational diving to technical diving go a lot faster.
The Tec 40 CCR course is scheduled over 4 days:
- Day 1: Classroom & Pool
- Day 2: Confined Open Water
- Day 3: 3 Open water training dives
- Day 4: 3 open water training dives
The course includes training on the basic function of Tec CCR’s, Life Support Emergency Management differences between OC & CC, Equipment malfunctions, decompression planning and procedures and how to get the most out of your rebreather. The PADI Tec 40 CCR course is currently available on the following rebreathers:
- Poseidon MK6-T (MK6 with Tec upgrade)
- Poseidon Se7en
- APD Inspiration or Evolution (with Vision Electronics)
Tec 40 CCR Prerequisites:
- PADI Advanced Rescue Diver.
- PADI Enriched Air Diver.
- PADI Deep Diver or proof of 10 dives to 30+ metres.
- Minimum of 50 logged dives.
- At least 10 dives using EANx deeper than 18 metres.
- 18+ years old
PADI Tec 40 CCR Course Costs
The Course Costs: 39,900 Thai Baht
The course includes:
- Scrubber & Gas
- PADI manuals & certification fee
- Boat fees
- Professional training
The course doesn’t include Rebreather rental
Tec 40 CCR courses are available on the Poseidon MK6-T (MK6 with Tec upgrade) or Poseidon Se7en
Tec 40 CCR courses are available on the APD Inspiration and APD Evolution with Vision Electronics
